“Within art, we are given the opportunity to breathe, even if for a moment. And in these moments, we unknowingly, yet, willfully connect with ourselves; our minds, our hearts, and the world. We surrender our fears of groundlessness, disregard any thoughts of past or future, and find peace in presence.”

Bio

As a photographer, I am inspired by the connection between emotion, perception, reaction, and experience; between self and all selves. It is my curiosity about this interconnectedness that motivates my artistic process and in turn my own personal growth. The two of these processes are always synergistically in tune, and the further I evolve, the more I realize why emotions are so much more accessible through art, than in spoken or written language. Through my images I explore the relationship between mind and heart; between the aesthetic and the felt. Using simple, powerful questions about emotional experience I aim to visually and poetically express the role that feelings play in our lives.
