After viewing your other image I had to peruse your gallery. This is magnificent. The detail is outstanding and the content so full of interest. Also another great example of an expert use of HDR (I presume, based on the window etc) Can't wait to see more. #1268767

Thanks once more for your wonderful comments Dale :)
Yes, this is HDR too - or "pseudo" HDR as it's from one raw file with 3 different development settings in lightroom. Real HDR is not easy with living subjects :) #8611364

I've used that method also Stefan. Just recently purchased Photomatic and am struggling to learn to use it properly. In the past I'd been doing it all manually in PSE7 but it got troublesome when there were lots of details. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. #8611386

Have you ever tried some of the Topaz Labs software? I often use Topaz Adjust 4 for something like this. It's a great tool if you have difficult pictures where you want to get as much detail as you can from both highlights and shadows. If you haven't tried it you should download a 30 day trial - I'm sure you'll want to buy it once you've tried it. Find it at www.topazlabs.com (and no - I don't work for them) :-) #8611398
