Description

This is an overwintering queen of the Eastern Yellowjacket. F32, 1/200s, ISO200, Ringflash, plus a extension tube (36mm Kenko) in between the camera and my 60mm Nikkor macro lens. This image is a focus stack of 3 frames. I adjusted exposure, contrast, color and reduced noise application. Cropped. Taken in Raleigh, NC USA on March 27, 2010

Amazing macro with great details and wonderful color and light.

Thank you Usman! I have recently started photographing insects "with determination" I have been doing it for less than 1 year. I had to save the money to buy the equipment.
