Joan, crop #2 does it for me. But are you sure it is 11.44, I thought it was a couple of minutes to nine. I do have an appointment for next Tuesday with the eye doctor so maybe all your images will look different then!
Thank you for giving us the information on the building, it adds so much more to the image for me. #1236594

I thought it said just before nine too... cuz that is just about the time I took the picture co-incidentally. And although there has been some debate over it, the "official" stance is that it reads 11:44 on all 4 faces of the clock (there is one on each side of the Cupploa! Thanks Peter... I need an eye exam also... but guess I will have to drive blind until we get back to canada! (and yes I do have "driving" specs but made the silly decision not to get bifoc's this time cuz I really didn't need them for most things ...... WRONG!!! #8368892

Hi Joan. I was wondering where your Florence courthouse disappeared to off the club gallery. But here it is and I want to tell you that there is nothing wrong with our eyesight. I Googled Florence and several places quoted 11.44 as the time on the clock although one website said there was some question of whether it was 11.44 or a couple minutes of nine.
Now I never believe anything until I have proved it for myself so I made a gigantic enlargement of just the clock face and it is 1005 definitely just before nine. I can only thing them folk down there in AZ drink too much or haven't learn't to tell the time!

I think I got somewhat over-excited so please ignore the typos. I have no idea where the 1005 came from and I really do know how to spell 'think'. and 'learnt' lol #8369327

ROFL... Well I actually have to agree with you... it certainly looked like just before 9 to me as well!! If it was suppossed to be 11:44 the artist screwed up! However, being a guest in this community (or closeby at least) who am I to argue??) However it is a very striking building.

We are actually staying 6 miles in some direction (possible east) from Florence, it has a wonderfully almost intact early 20th centuary downtown. Pop. if I remember correctly is around 17,000 but they don't have a supermarket. We go to Coolidge which is about 16 miles one way (and the home of the galloping goose where waylon Jennings played his first gigs when he was a dj somewhere closeby (casa grande?? forget) THEY have a safeway, iga, walmart... but the rest of the extensive downtown is basically boarded up and vacant. Pop there is 7,000. Find that rather interesting! Oh.. Coolidge is also home to the Casa Grande Ruins which I had in the club awhile back. #8375274

Oh and we are 6 miles WEST of florence... doesn't it scare you to know I navigate 10,000 kms every year, and the only times we have gotten offtrack is when Randy got directions from someone else! LOL #8375287
