And he drybrushed so excellently too, so I included both. Judy #27874

Thanks Shirley!! I notice in the small version, the photo's look almost alike, but if anyone clicks to enlarge it, then the drybrush really stands out. Thanks everyone, Judy #72655

Great expression you've captured here, and the background compliments his color beautifully. Unfortunately, the jpeg artifacts in the original spoil an otherwise excellent image. The dry brush effect covers that well in the 2nd image. #72657

Thank you so much Tracy, for taking the time to compliment and comment. I'm still learning and I don't understand what you mean by the jpeg 'artifacts'. While I'm on this site, I actually keep pen and paper by side to glean any tips on anybody's photos or how they arrived at their result. So I truly do appreciate constructive criticism. #72669

Hi Judy!! What a cute pooch!! Nice shot!

Jpeg artifacts is the noise in an image... equivalent to a grainy appearance. When speaking of film produced images...it's called "grain"...when speaking digital photograpy ...it's "noise"...or "jpeg artifacts", which is noise caused by compression. Hope that helps. I answered in case she disabled the notification option...as I do because I get so flooded with them. #72718

Thanks Dolores, Yes that does answer my ? very well. I understand about disabling the notification option. I guess I'm going to have to do that a little more often even though I enjoy the interaction. I had 73 emails when I turned on my computer this morning and only a couple weren't from betterphoto. #72731

Lol, good tip re: turning off replies sometimes though I too enjoy the learning aspect and exchange...sometimes when I'm gone for a day or more the inbox is coughing severely from conjestion.lolol #72928
