Wild Poppies

Uploaded: November 03, 2009

Description

As I'm photographing these delicate flowers I am not so delicate. My camera is on the ground and my face is in the dirt. This was taken on a morning as I was on my way to Death Valley a few years back. The poppies in the Antelope Valley Poppy Reserve wake up pretty late and don't fully open until a few hours after sunrise. If the El Nino weather pattern is in effect this season the poppies should be great this spring in 2010. Already looking foward to it now.
