Vintage

Antiqued: one of many violins my father made.
I imagine this photograph found in a dusty box in the nether regions of a cobwebbed attic in some old Victorian... actually it's from a print I took years ago in California and is still quite clear and brilliant, so the "vintage" look is done with Photoshop.
My dad was both a violin maker and watchmaker. I no longer have his violins, although I would have loved to keep a few. I discovered that unless they're played and cared for, they deteriorate in time - and I don't play. Somewhere, someone's making music with them, which is as it should be.
I do have the photos though! And the memories...

Well, you know, Nadya how much I love violins and Mozart so the subject is one that I am very much drawn to and your presentation is simply beautiful and well in keeping with the subject!!!
