My first response was ekk. But after I wasn't scared. I've never seen one like this. Anyone know what it is? Macro lens with extension tubes.

Wonderful capture Patricia, I noticed the s on the end of extension tube. I would have used as many as could to stay as far away as possible. Beautiful spider though.

Outstanding detail and color in this well composed image. No idea just what type this is, but I know I would keep my distance. Great shot. #7914992

Great capture!
Might be an "Orb" spider but send it in to bugguide.com and they will identify it for you. #7915205

Hi, Patricia! As coincidence would have it, I just saw this type of spider yesterday and looked it up - it's a green lynx spider...and WOW, you've done him/her full and total justice. Incredibly detailed, gorgeous light and expertly captured! #7916334

I came to see your spider. Nicely done. I still haven't tried extension tubes and must do that sometime. You surely used them well here. Interesting to know what kind he is and about bugguide.com too. #7932031
