Burst of Autumn

Uploaded: August 30, 2009

Description

They look like giant dandelions but they're called Meadow Salsify.

This year, fall is early! The trees aren't turning yet and the grass is emerald green from all the rain we've had, but it's supposed to go to 40 Fahrenheit tonight. Unheard of, for late August!

(Reworked from a previous submission.)

Thanks, Bobby! The original made Photo of the Day but this is another version; it's desaturated and I made adjustments to the light, creating more of a "glow." Myself, I prefer this version to the last. #7900825
