Spring Beauties

Uploaded: May 09, 2009

Description

Spring Beauties are tiny flowers, about an inch and a half tall, and live in the woods here in Northwestern Vermont, where I live. Being "vernal flowers", they have just gone by. Their whole reproductive process happens before the leaves come out on the trees, while the sunlight still gets too the floor of the woods. I'm in love!
