Holocaust Memorial, Wyuka Cemetery

Description

Lincoln, NE
I think this memorial is one of the least known in Lincoln. It may be one of our very best. It has so many symbolic forms. I tried to maintain the star that is a continuous image throughout this space. I went this day because of the forboding sky which I think is an appropriate backdrop for this memorial. There are apartment buildings adjacent to the cemetery grounds both east and north, challenging a photographic perspective. I am hoping I've done it some justice. I used Topaz's Adjust and then used the dodge tool in PS to spotlight the images of people. I also used the gradient tool to increase the strength of the sky.
