Man, you're talking Greek today, pal, but this is pretty cool. Love the rich saturated colors! #235360Norman P. Banks April 11, 2005
Hey Steve, thanks for checking in! Yeah I felt like running off at the mouth a little. (grin)In case you are wondering what happened to the sunrise, it was blended in untill it in effect became a mask itself. The predominate blend mode is linear burn.
To finish, I used a soft filter to take the edge off the heavy saturation.

Very cool, and rather ominous! Certainly a face not to bump into in the dark:-). #1246467Norman P. Banks April 11, 2005
Thanks, Goshka. The idea was that of a warrior appearing from out of the dark!By the way your pics of Poland are really nice. My favorite is the Baroque stairway at the University.

it's soooo real!! even for an image..I'm waiting for that one eye to blink! Flawless, Norm, flawless!! #1252989Norman P. Banks April 14, 2005
O'siyo Jane, Thanks for the enthusiastic commentary!(you are always so full of joy!)Actually the face is from a Native American mask that we have at the place in Pompano.(the eyes in the tree) The background, which is a sunset picture, came about by accident while blending the layers.

This is so cool Norman! Great job! #5257701Norman P. Banks December 27, 2007
Hey Molly! Thanks for the great comment. THIS IS one cool mask though I believe it to be a generic interpretation and not an authentic representation of Native American art.
I got the idea for this shot one night as I lay in bed and the outside light partialy lit the face creating an FX somewhat like the image I came up with. (smile)
