Gorgeous image Aimee! #1117264

Aimee C. Eisaman April 22, 2009

Thanks Rajeev! I only wish I would have used my zoom lens so I could have gotten a bit more in the shot, but my back was up against a wall literaly and I was using a fixed lens! :~) #7432263

Aimee, I think this is great! I might have cropped in more - kept the same proportions but taken more off the right and bottom - but I tend to like really up -close! I am always cropping the top and bottom of faces off! Your color is great, the lighting is beautiful, and I love the detail on his hair! Is he yours??? #7444272

Esther R. Tinz April 24, 2009

Nice details. Thru your image I can feel the roughness of his mane, the softness of his ears, and just look at those eyelashes. Now, is this the one you got to ride???? #7444399

Michael Kelly level-deluxe April 24, 2009

Wonderful detail and color on this shot Aimee. I really like the light in the eye too. I would not change it much if any because I like the proportions as they are now. However I sometimes I am surprised, so I like to see how suggestions like Debbra's might look. #7444674

Sharon Lohrmann April 24, 2009

man, you all are just too good. it's hard to find things to make suggestions on!

i like it just the way it is aimee. beautiful detail and interesting pov. but like michael, i'm curious about deb's suggestions. #7445069

Vicki Snow April 24, 2009

i love horses!!! this shot I want to focus on the whispy hair and eye...but my eye wonders down to that scar on his nose....i think a tighter crop right above the scar...imo #7445363

Kathleen Nealon April 24, 2009

Okay, I'm scared of horses but Aimee you make them look very gentle. I think I would crop more off the bottom. Not being that familiar with horses, it seems to me like his nose is going to go on forever. But I'm not one to be giving advice on animal photography. #7445385

Aimee C. Eisaman April 24, 2009

Debbra I'll give that a try! Never know how it will look! :~) Thanks!

No this isn't Horny Hank...just one of the many girls! I don't have a picture of him.....he isn't that good looking of a horse! Shhhh...don't tell him that I said so.....he might really run under the clothes line then! :P Thanks Esther!

Thanks :~) Michael....I'll give Debs idea a try, but if it doesn't work I'll be sticking with this version! The light in this shot is the main reason I kept it!

Sharon....thanks so much...I'll have the suggestion ready soon! :~)

Scared Kathe? Why? Did something happen at one time? Or is it just because of their size? To be honest I have a healthy fear of them too. I will ride them and be around them, but always with a watchful eye! Yes...they do have very long faces! Esp. at this angel. For some reason I seem at peace when alone with the horses and my camera! It's a wonderful feeling!:~) #7446688

Aimee C. Eisaman April 24, 2009

Okay I tried the crop and I don't think I like it! It just looks wrong to me having the eye that low in the frame.....and other things start looking weird when you have that close of a view! What do ya'll think? #7446764

Michael Kelly level-deluxe April 24, 2009

I think it works OK, but for me it starts to loose the horse look or the essence of this being a horse. Hope you get what I mean by that. I still think the first is best. #7446804

Aimee C. Eisaman April 24, 2009

Thats what I'm saying Michael.....things start looking weird. It starts looking almost like an abstract image! :~0 #7446811

Kathleen Nealon April 25, 2009

You're right, the second shot does start looking like an abstract image. But I like that too. What's to lose..why not try them both a couple of months apart. #7447710

Aimee C. Eisaman April 25, 2009

Kathe.....the only issue I'm having is that I have sooooo many photos that I could not take anymore pictures and still have enough to enter everyday for 2 or 3 months! LOL :~) #7447867

Debbra Bailey April 25, 2009

Aimee - I think you were right! I like the crop, but I like your original better :) #7448556

Aimee C. Eisaman April 26, 2009

Thanks Debbra.....never know until I try....thanks for the idea though! :~) #7452143
