It's an alien crab!! Bizarre, I've never seen anything like that. What a great photo! This would look really cool printed very large. I wonder how big the crab actually was? #7386385

Thanks to all of you for the nice words.
I think it is called "ghost crab", this one was quite large, measuring about 5 inches.
I took this photo in the Seychelles, there were many on the shore... all of them very quick in digging holes in the sand and disappearing, except my subject that remained (luckily) partially exposed :-) #7388738
