Thank you so much Melissa G., Nancie R., Melissa O., Samantha, and Kim!!!Nellie is an irish setter that I fostered and soooo wanted to keep, but I made the very hard decision to adopt her to an awesome family - a lady and her 9 year old daughter that absolutely adore her too. Fortunately, I get to petsit her and they come for fairly frequent visits (a requirement for the adoption :-))) ). She's quite a character and I love photographing her. My setters are both seniors now and I don't get many action shot opportunities. Thanks again for your very much appreciated comments !
PS I did get your Winston photo this morning - he is adorable Melissa- send more :-))) and it was "sort of" an action shot !!!!!

A beautiful, playful capture! It must have been so hard to give her up...but at least she's in a good home! #7364280Dominick M. Dimacale April 02, 2009

Thanks Agnes and Dominick. Yes, Agnes, it was VERY hard giving her up . I was very, very depressed about it, and I still wish I had kept her - that's my selfish side talking - LOL - she has her own 9 year old human girl to play with that loves to play ball with her and dress her up- and Nellie is so patient and seems to actually enjoy it :-))) and a beagle mix that loves to play "steal the toy" with her - my guys were NOT impressed with that game. Mine are 12 1/2 and 11 1/2 (irish setters) and an 8 year old cocker spaniel, and I felt I needed to give my full attention to my seniors. I love all my dogs, but Gunnar is especially my heart -he's been through so much and has been such a trooper and our bond is very strong - Nellie is sooo much fun, and I hope to find another Nellie one day in the future when the time is right. I am just so happy I can see her any time I want and she has a great home.#7364860

Wonderful capture, Melanie. Nellie is young and multi talented. She's running forward and watching behind her at the same time. Ah those young dogs. LOLOL #7365233Patty Fee April 03, 2009
I doubt we could catch Nellie -- unless she wanted us to. LOLIt's a cool action shot and so sharp!
And look at her tail -- surpassing the setter standard.
Great picture of Nellie, Melanie. #7367739
