Eek! His expression is so smug. Nice capture and I love that he's looking into the frame. My question is: what's he looking at? #1105829

He was about 15' in front of me and he was "sleeping," or pretending to along with a buddy who was about 20' to his right when a big Blue Heron landed between them. Both of their heads popped up immediately and they both had their eye on the bird. Apparently alligators don't eat every day and usually eat at night, at least according to the ranger, so there was no need for concern on the Heron's part. This was taken at Shark Valley which is part of Everglades National Park and you can't believe how close you can get to the wild life. #7350074
