I am Lioness ... Hear Me Roar

Uploaded: March 26, 2005

Description

aperture- f5.6, shutter- 1/200, lens-300 mm, location - San Diego Wild Animal Park. Interesting fact is that in a pride of lions the females are the strongest providers, and witout them hunting the pride would likely starve. The male lions are probably out playing cards!

This is the most unique lioness expression I have ever seen. I don't know if she's in the middle of a roar or yawn! Nice capture, Gunther! #229167

Thank you Dolores and Wally! They have built a new habitat for this lion pride at San Diego Wild animal park, and it is facinating to watch them interact with each other. Take care and have a great Easter weekend! #1207788
