La Lomita Mission, Mission Texas

Uploaded: February 11, 2009

There seem to be two of these missions, When I researched it the picture was of a very small chapel, so since the sign said this was La Lomita Mission, I am assuming it is a later version?

Sorry Christine, forgot to hit the submit button when I uploaded this and titled it!

Unfortunately, this beautiful place is closed to the public, because of vandalism... I had to take this from the road outside the Mission. However, that probably worked to my advantage in this case! #7153951

Joan this image caught my eye right away because of all the missions we have here in California. Your's has a different look than what we are used to seeing. It's a shame you couldn't get in side. I know you would have a bundle of shots to share.

Too bad about the distracting pile of dirt in front of the left side but that can be handled the same method you will be using on the Ranger shot. May I suggest that you tone down the bright green in the foreground foliage? It's very bright and doesn't' look natural.

Love the textures and comp of this shot. Glad you made the effort to stop and share it with us. #7169186

First of all congrats on your EP! :~) I really like the moody sky and the detail in the brick work! Glad you captured this without people in the shot....really brings the focus on the building itself and the history! Great Job! :~) #7171623
