I think I might take the little piece of grass out of the big one's mouth because I couldn't tell whether it was on the grass itself or in her mouth. I think if the DOF were shallow and the grass was hanging out of her mouth it would be perfectly fine. Just call me anal. But it surely is a lovely, vivid and sharply focused image. I LOVE your cows, Joan. #1081956

I love cows! I especially like the cute one with the horns! :P I never would have noticed that about the grass if Debbie didn't point it out, but now it is jumping out at me! I would have left more room on the left, but I'm guessing that is where #3 was! A cut caputure with the barn in the background! :~) #7151377

A couple of real cool cows Joan. When I saw the straw in the mouth I thought of my old neighbor right away. He always had a long straw or toothpick between his lips. Now if there was a cooler of beer between them, the image would be complete. #7151722

Thank All... I debated the grass, but decided to leave it when I first was looking at this. I think it's kind of a COW TRADEMARK lol! # 3 was half shadowed, and admittedly I took the lazy route and cropped him rather than mess with him.

I did however get an X-rated shot unwittingly, while shootin another cow looking back at me... almost fell off the chair when I saw it! ROFL #7153932

I love the position of the sun here, Joan. It makes their coats look beautiful!

So take that third one that was a MESS (that you cropped out) and post him on the Comedy Club! Ha! Are you a a member?

I like this shot lots and wouldn't have noticed that grass either...but now it's there! Debbie has eagle eyes! :) -Laura #7168568

Hi Joan,
I love the rich beautiful colours of the cows fur against the muted b/g...
I love the darker cow with his tail between his legs but wish that there was 'more grass' coming out of his mouth...
Wonderful light and great to see the barn in the b/g.

Great Shot Joan... gotta wonder what they thought of you... maybe they were making bets on how long till you step in something.
