Death Valley Moon Rise

Uploaded: January 27, 2009

Description

Here is a moonrise in Death Valley. I choose to shoot across the valley floor to pick up more of the atmospheric particles to get the moon's color a deep redish orange. Works just like the sun behind smoke from a fire. I used one small flash light to paint the foreground.

30 second exposure

Exif: F Number: 5, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 30/1 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 800, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 24.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS 5D Mark II
