Cute! I love these little guys! Is he yours? Are they hard to take care of? #7021924

Great shot! I was wondering the same thing about if they are hard to care for... so cute! #7021931

Erin Kirsten January 12, 2009

They are medium on the scale of difficult to care for - they are nocturnal so they just sleep all day. They like a humid moist warm climate during the day and cooler and moist environment at night. They are found in Costa Rica in the rainforest so they like that type of conditions. They only eat live crickets/worms and they most have a constant filtered water source. I had my boys do oral reports for school before they got theirs and then they had to save up their money - 8 months later we got our frogs. They like company so you really have to plan on two. Hope that helps!

Thank you all for your kind words - our frogs are some of my favorite winter subjects to shoot. Their bright colorful being is so nice when it is gray and rainy outside. #7025570
