Description

Dunottar Castle, Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.

I'm having a wee bit of fun with some images that I think work better as monochromes or black and whites. This is another which had quite theatrical lighting and for that reason a heightened sense of drama in its presentation. Although I tend to be known for my colour work I very much enjoyed messing around with black and white developing and feel that this shot would have been a typical target image for me. Dunottar Castle near Stonehaven couldn't be a more romantic and wild looking place. I was therefore quite pleased to see a couple sitting on the edge of the point gazing at this wonderful sight and unusually for me I have permitted people to be included in one of my landscapes. Hope you enjoy it.
