Betsy, do you mind telling me where you found this texture? Or did you make it? I really like how it is subtle, but yet really adds to your capture.

Thanks! #6722908

Amber, I've just started looking at textures and was downloading a lot off the internet. I used 6 different textures on this image. If you want I can look for links to where I downloaded them, or e-mail them to you, along with a description of how I used them? #6722989

ROBIN SMITH November 19, 2008

I love this! I too would like to know how to add the textures! #6776266

Betsy Labuschagne November 20, 2008

Thank you Robin! You can purchase or download some textures for free off the internet. Then in Photoshop open the texture and drag it over your picture. You may have to free transform to get it to match your pic. Then change the layer mode to whatever you think looks best. The idea is to blend the texture to your pic. I like the effect Overlay, Hard light and Soft light gives (PS 7). Opacity can also be changed. Then add a layer mask and paint back areas where you don't want the texture to show. Hope this helps! #6782601

Thank you Max. I remember when I finished the writing on the tree my eldest came and stood by me and asked what it said, so I told him it says "Matt and Ronan Brothers Forever" and he insisted that I put the "Best" in :) I really appreciate your kind comment! #6907781
