Fall on the Bayou. Rayville Bayou

Uploaded: October 29, 2008

Description

I call this bayou Rayville Bayou because it is near the town of Rayville, Louisiana. I have no idea what it's real name is. I only shoot this bayou when it has it's beautiful fall colors because there is no spanish moss here for some reason. You know I was raised to believe Turtles and Alligators Hibernate like snakes do for the winter, but that is not true. On a nice day in January you will see turtles on the logs and Gators moving slowly about. Gator move very slow with the waters are cold, but don't think they will not snatch you. These Trees to those of you who don't know are Bald Cypress. The only tree I know of that grows in the water. The roots put knees up to breath. Bill
