Star Trails In The Sierras

Uploaded: October 20, 2008

Description

I had some fun in some very cold weather waiting for this image to work. This is up in the Sierra mountains to see the bristlecones. This was a two hour exposure and another two to wait for noise reduction before trying it again. I think this was the second effort.

Thanks for looking !

Kevin, this is a terrific shot, how did you manage a two-hour exposure, I would really like to know!. Love the effect it creates.

Fantastic! I'm dying to get out and shoot some star trails. have an igloo camping trip planned for January for that purpose. Have you thought of using a flashlight to paint the pine tree with light to make it pop? But overall this is really spectacular! #6871240
