Sweet Pea

Unusually shaped bottle. I'm trying this one, again, for the Monthly Theme. It's one of my favorites.
Used my new close-up lens for the first time. This is an old perfume bottle that belonged to my daughter's namesake, her great-great grandmother; it has a sticker on the back that says "SWEET PEA."

Kim- I think your off to a wonderful start with your gallery. I like the array of subjects and you have an eye for seeing the photo op in what I think are unique things like your route 66 sighs for example.Kim Dietrich Elam October 07, 2008
Frank - Thank you for visiting my gallery and for your kind and inspiring words...you made my day!I photographed this bottle to hang it in my daughter's room - she never met her great-great grandma, but, when she was born, was given this bottle and another plain bottle that had belonged to her. The perfume is still strong - the scent wafts out of the bottle where it is broken and perfumes the whole box in which it is kept. #6566116

Great close-up! Love the shadow. If you find out more about this bottle -- like the date, what kind of perfume it held, whether it was a tie-in with a well known character, etc. -- I'd love to know. #6590475Kim Dietrich Elam October 14, 2008
Thanks, Jean! If I ever find out, I'll add it...I've looked online, but haven't found the right bottle, yet! #6600279Michael Lynch November 03, 2008
