Reaching for Color

Uploaded: September 26, 2008

Description

Photo taken in Door County, WI in September. (No photo staging) PS edits include desaturation except maple leaf. Slight sharpen and contrast applied. Color sat boost and clone tool used to better define maple leaf. What caught my eye was how the almost colorless tree roots seemed to be "thirsty" for more color from leaf laying just beyond it's reach.

Exif: F Number: 3.5, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/30 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 200, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 23.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS DIGITAL REBEL XSi
