Very nice shot of a good looking pup, Melanie -- I just want to reach out and touch his soft fur. #6482062

Thanks girls! He is a She though - LOL - and only 9 months old ! She was very "dancy" and finally focused on her mom for a nanosecond and was able to snap a very quick photo :-)))They are gorgeous dogs, and the first one i've ever seen in our city. They are geared more for colder climates. The Swiss Mt. Dog, however, looks very similar to the Bernese Mt. Dog, but with a short coat. I looked at a puppy once, considering getting one, but thank goodness also saw an adult there, and he was HUGE ! So, decided this breed was a bit big for me, but they sure are beautiful .

Hi Christine ! Thanks for your very nice comment - I saw her at Petco and asked if I could photograph her - I, too, love the Bernese Mt. Dog, but it's just too hot here (Mississippi) to even think about it , and they are soooo big!
Have you seen the Swiss Mt. Dogs - shorter hair? I was seriously considering one until I went and looked at some and the adults were a lot bigger than I thought - ha! I just thought my irish setters were big -LOL
