Beach Chatter Findhorn

Uploaded: September 14, 2008

Description

High tide is not the best time to visit the bay at Findhorn for photography. The wonderful patterns and detail form in the wet sand reflecting at sunset really grabs photographers attention, but I sat back and reflected upon the soothing chatter of rocks and pebbles being rolled over one another and came up with this just as the sun peeked around a cloud and cast it's light on the water swirling round the groyne.

Pentax 67II, 55-100 zoom, 0.6ND hard grad, + 4 stop ND filter, F/22 at 1 sec, Velvia.

What a magical image! The light over the water is phenominal, the filters gave you just the slow wash over the pebbles that you needed... WOW. #998502

I was first drawn to the clouds, but the rocks were definitely the highlight of this heavenly shot! Lisa #6454158
