Description

The lack of snow in the Alps made me shoot a series of wood macros, mostly details of old cabins and logs. There's a lot to discover. I hope you won't get bored with them.

Wonderful Birdie....the few lines from this poem puts it better than I could.

The wood grain like rhythmic lines of verse,
Brings with it the greetings of months and years. - Gu Cheng writes about nature and celebrates its beauty "For My Revered Master Hans Andersen" . #40669

"Get bored." Are you kidding? This is great stuff. I want to start doing a lot more macro stuff myself. These singular studies are among the most dramatic photographs shot, in my view.
Have you seen any of Gerda Grice's stuff. She's really quite and hand at it. In any case, this is a terrific shot. Keep 'um comin buddy. #41036

Honestly Birdie, who could NOT like your photos?
By the way, how is the little otter? #41066

Very nice, birdie. I think we would all be unhappy with you if you didn't post your series of shots. #41117

Wolfgang Dolak May 26, 2019

Thank all for your kind words.

Bernard: I'll check Gerda's photos. One can never learn enough.

Ruth: The otter is on its way to be released soon. I'm very happy about it!

Thanks again for your encouragement!
