This is spectacular! I can see why it's a favorite! With those layers of blue hills and warm sunset rays, it's going to be one of my favorites of yours, too! Happy New Year, Art! : ) #200978

Wow, gorgeous! Those colors are fabulous and I too like the layers. Did you do any special post-processing, Art? Happy New Year! #1007737

Just glorious!!! Happy New Year to you guys and the cats!! #1007921

Arthur Rosch January 01, 2005

Thanks to you all. I haven't made
a big print yet but I'm about to
run up a 12X18 and put it in a frame.
Post processing was helped along by
Nik Color Efex Pro, that has a bi-color
filter that's user choice, so I dialed
in the colors that were already there
and sort of created a gradiant that
brought out the amazing hues.

This is the most praise I've had
since my big tooth fell out when I
was eight. I do appreciate it.
I haven't taken many good photos lately.
I need to go somewhere, do something
different. I'm just afraid to leave
California. I'm afraid to leave my
street!

Hey, Art...we all need to stretch our comfort zone...try something we haven't tried before...meet people we haven't met before...see something we haven't seen before. The first step is the hardest! This coming from a person who used to be paralyzed by shyness...who ended up in sales...which I NEVER thought I could do. #1008625

Arthur Rosch January 02, 2005

Sage advice, Dorothy. I'd like
to know the story of how you went
from shy to sales. I love
stories of transformation. I have
a few of my own.

I had no idea such a fascinating conversation ensued since the New Year! Have you given any more thought as to where you might venture, Art? I always say, just get in the car and go. Some of the best trips I've taken, I had no plan. Just went and had an adventure. Life has a way of taking you where you need to be. Wherever you go, there you are! Congrats on my now favorite finalist! #1113057

Well! Today I applied for my passport.
The UNEP competition is down to its
finalists, and I am one of them.
If I'm in the top four,
the UN and Canon are bringing me to Japan, last week of march. I'm ready for
an adventure. Oh lordy, I want to win
this one! Thanks for all the feedback.
