Description

Nickname came from being SPAZZY... thus, Spazzy Jazzi is derived from Princess Jasmine... ;o)

Carol and R&A: Jazzi is a Silky Terrier (Jake is our overweight mix between a Yorkie & a Silky. He is 11 yrs old, has Cushing's Disease and has already gone into kidney failure on me once... I'm not ready for him to leave me...) In the 1800s, Australian Terriers were crossbred with Yorkies to create a breed with the hunting instincts of the Australian and smaller size from the Yorkie so they would be good for hunting rodents, snakes... small critters. And they are GREAT HUNTERS!! If a neighbor has a rodent or snake, they just ask our kids to bring the dogs over for a bit! LOL!!

R&A: That is hilarious!! What a coincidence with the names!! ;o)

Thanks for the clarification about Jazzi being a Silky. I almost didn't mention Yorkie in my comment because I thought she could be a Silky. They look a lot alike, especially in photos. In all my work with animals (I worked for a veterinarian and animal control for about half my life), I never saw but one or two Silkies. Jazzi is an adorable Silky, and I am glad you won't let her chase Olive! :D And I hope Jake stays around a lot longer for you! #6070051
