Description

Canon 17-40L at 29mm, ISO 500, f8. Three AEB exposures, +2, 0 and -2, combined in Photomatix Pro for one HDR image. I have shot the Kihei Canoe Club beach a few times but there have always been tradewinds that make an HDR of the palm trees imperfect. I got off work early and raced to the beach to set up before the sun set completely. After a few compositions, it was as if a hush came over the beach. I looked up at the trees, saw that the winds had died, and then shot off as many frames as I could. This is the result.

Exif: F Number: 8, ISO: 518, FocalLength: 26.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS 5D

Thanks, everyone. This is a favorite subject for me and I'm addicted to HDR. I've always had a problem with wind in the palm trees but for just a moment, the tradewinds stopped... #6031851

Congratulations, Terrie, on your awesome EFP shot at the Kiehi Canoe Club. I stayed down the beach at the Kiehi Bay Surf condos and recognized the location immediatley. Thank you for your beautiful photos and keep them coming. I love going down memory lane.
