My Paradise

Uploaded: May 04, 2008

Description

This is the road that goes through one of my favorite places, the Intervale in Burlington VT. It is a large flat piece of land that no houses can be built on because it's in a 100 year old flood plain. So instead, there are a bunch of small organic farmers who grow vegetables and fruit to sell at local restaurants and at the Farmer's Market. Because of it's being a flood plain, the soil here is black and loamy and everything grows like crazy- it's absolutely lush here. It really is a paradise. I love walking here in all seasons. Spring is spectacular here.
