How in the world did you sneak up on this guy? LOL Telephotos are great aren't they?! I like the DOF and the water in the distance makes this a perfect location for the portrait of this reptile. That's a quirky quote you've got going on there! Mulling this one over for a while. #907704

When I see ROCKY MOUNTAINS I always wonder if they COULD BE old and -GIANT- DINOSAUR MOLARS! Does this count, too?

What a great capture of this fellow, Michael. The coloring on his tail reminds me of ARMY DUDS. He really is a beauty!

Thank you Christine, Samantha and Laura for your comments on this one! I found this iguana on the bank of a large lake in an industrial area where many of my business accounts are located in Doral, FL. A great tip I once read from a respected wild life photographer was too look for animals in urban areas as they are not as easily spooked as animals in areas remote from human intrusion. While 200mm may seem like a lot of zoom, you have to still have to get very close to get a decent shot. 300mm is the way to go for wildlife in my experience. When I can afford it, I think I will get Nikon's f/2.8 300mm VR lens as wildlife is my favorite subject to shoot. #5843433
