In 1/2000 second these guys can do your laundry. This sandpiper on Miami's South Beach was finishing his assessment of the two-legged gizmo-carrying creature blocking his path to breakfast as I fumbled to press the shutter hoping to get something besides seaweed recorded on my sensor. I ran the lucky result through Apple's iPhoto application to crop and tweak it so that you could enjoy this at a more leisurely pace.

Once again you're showing your great patience, photographing birds. Isn't it great with digital, though, with those fast moving subjects? I like the crop of this one. Great light as usual in your images. Have a wonderful Easter! #882889
