Wonderful image and tribute to Warmer Jean! I', so sorry for your loss. This helped me when I lossed Barney some years ago:

Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Thank you, everyone, I appreciate your kind thoughts at this difficult time. I'm sorry for your losses of beloved pets, as well. And, thanks, Murry, I hope to find Warner at the Rainbow Bridge one day. In the meantime, it's really hard without her. She used to sit right next to me while I worked at the computer, and now... #835762

Jean - so sorry to hear about your loss. We lost our cat Cleo at age 17.5 this spring and I still miss her dearly. I too hope you find peace and thanks, Murry, for posting Rainbow Bridge for Jean - someone gave it to me after Cleo passed away and it definitely made me feel better. #848712

Jean Papo October 16, 2004

Thanks, Sharon. I'm so sorry to hear about your beloved Cleo...I guess time heals a bit, but our pets are like our children, each being with a unique personality and irreplacable traits...Warner was my "dearest one," but guess in the midst of sorrow they all can be considered as such. The Rainbow Bridge which Murry so kindly sent is definitely consoling. (thanks again, Murry) #849085

Jean - yes, they are our children and they are often around when the other children aren't. Cleo was our "mother" cat, always looking after anyone who was sad or sick; my daughter still wishes for her to come back when she gets really sad or hurt. We have 4 others but it still feels so different. Your Warren will live in your heart forever and always be a part of you and your family. And, it will get easier as time passes. #849109

My thoughts go out to you Jean in the loss of your beloved Warner. I do know how difficult this is as I still feel the pain from Peeker's death last November. And now poor little Rowdy is on insulin. And of course, like you, we will do all that is possible to keep him around as long as possible. The Rainbow Bridge says it all. Wonderful image and it will bring back fond memories for you. My best to you Jean. #1984869
