I like how the light shining on his head and chest outlines the bird against the background. The waves bring more life to the image. #5478661

Great shot! Love your 300mm.....don't ever take it for granted! Just a great composition on this shot....love the blue color of the water above the birds head. It balances the photo nicely! :-) #5478682

How beautiful !! It makes me miss our beach house that got blown away with Hurricane Katrina. I woke up every morning my entire life, every summer to scenes like this....one day again we will build back and add to all the beautiful memories we already have.
This is a lovely shot and brought back so many GOOD memories for me. Thank you for that.

Jennifer, You really just made my day. I like to comment about all the technical aspects that make a good photo when I give feedback but in the end if you can touch someone with something you've done and they let you know like you have here, than that's larger than any of it. I can't thank you enough! #5488756

Michael, I love how you've caught the water rushing around his feet. Fabulous clarity and color! #5489481

Thank you Michelle for the wonderful compliment. I was standing there at the edge of the surf like he was just marveling at how this bird was just so comfortable in the water. I mean these waves were bigger than him (her) and he just stood right in with them focusing on what he wanted. That turned out to be a shell or something he quickly snatched in the water soon after I took this. Being there watching this transpire in that morning sunlight, with those refreshing waves washing over my sandals and the mild ocean breeze just whistling by, I could not think what else to call it but "Wading in Life". #5493453
