At The Top Of The World
Uploaded: February 10, 2008
Well it is not the top of the world but we were on the crows nest of the 148 ft light house on Hunting Island SC. From here you could see for miles.
He was a little nervous and was white knuckling the hand rail.
It was hard for him to smile and look at the camera. His expression is price less as he could not keep from looking down,
which by the way is last thing you want to do when you are afraid of heights, but that is what people almost always do.
He is carrying my 11-18mm lens

This wide angle portriat is simply wonderful, Bill!! I love his expression and the clarity of the overall image with fantastic DOF. You are motivating me to get a wide angle lens given this fantastic result!!! #5473922Sandra R. Alvey February 10, 2008
High enough to see the curve of the earth...which is pretty HIGH! LOL! I don't blame him for being white knuckled. Although I'm not afraid of heights, I do have this wierd compulsion to toss myself off high places. No, I'm not suicidal, it's a known compulsion.Anyway, I digress. Wonderful capture Bill! #5473997

Great job Bill. I like the tones and light, but also his expression and the story behind it. I too am afraid of hights, but I almost never look down. In this situation, with a rail to protect me, I might of looked down! Great job! #5474756Tamara K. Walker February 10, 2008
