RM500 Denda For Littering

Uploaded: February 02, 2008

Description

This is an HDR-Tone Map adjusted image of three exposures.

But more importantly, this is a social-awareness image that is kind of sad, as well as a somewhat too often seen scene in Penang.

A sign is stuck in the ground, in this case, a sign that warns that for littering you will be fined RM500.00 (about USD160.00). Then, around the sign are empty plastic bags, discarded wood, and various other pieces of trash.

Go Figure! Does anyone ever get a fine here for littering? And, this is on the verge of taunting, to litter right at the sign that says, "you will be fined for littering."

Anyway, come on Penang, let's clean up the place, OK, for all to enjoy!

BTW - it also smells like dead fish at this street corner, but "smells" have not been added as an Internet feature yet, combined with imagery.
