How did
that cat
get
that fat?

I really like the picture.

But never in my life have I seen a cat....

Fatty and his litter mate were adopted by my son-in-law as kittens, fed the same food, etc. This one grew to 26 pounds while the other to only 16. Who knows why? He seems healthy, although he doesn't jump and climb as well as his brother.
I know this isn't a great photo, technically, but it has generated more comments than any other I've ever uploaded! #830759

Marjorie, Has this cat been evaluated by a vet regarding his weight? This type of weight gain is typically associated with an underlying medical illness. My husband is a vet and I've spent a great deal of time in animal hospitals. There may not be outward symptoms of a problem but.... I can tell you this cat is headed for trouble if not evaluated and treated. Thyroid disease, metabolic disorder, diabetes are all concerns. #838514
