Snow Strathglass

Uploaded: January 29, 2008

Description

Pentax 67, 55-100 zoom, 0.6ND grad, F22 at 1/8 sec, Velvia. Snow seems such a rarity these days and snow followed by a dose of sunshine an even more unlikely event but on this occasion close to Strathglass that is precisely what I got. A simple river is transformed as deep snow covers each and every rock forming a gorgeous smooth carpet of white mounds. Whilst direct sunlight ensures that the snow is blindingly white the shadow areas reflect the color of the sky and deepen to frigid blue.
