"Blondie" Buzzard

Uploaded: January 28, 2008

Description

Hi Guys,

Sometimes "Blond" can be so attractive...
This Buzzard has gotten the nickname "Blondie" by some Dutch photographers due to it's white colouration.
These birds tend to be lighter in colour and have light grey coloured eyes when they are juveniles. Later they will turn darker and their eyes will turn brown however I think this one will stay mostly white...

In this shot "Blondie" was busy catching worms wich is one of their main food sources in winter besides mice and other rodents.

Greetings,

Jeroen Stel
