Marinera

Fractalius filter applied.

Probably the most elegant and popular dance in Peru, the Marinera borrows elements from African,
Spanish and native cultures. The man wears a black or white suit, a wide-brimmed straw hat, a poncho
and he grasps a handkerchief in one hand. The woman, also holding a handkerchief, is barefoot and wears
a beautiful two-píece lace Moche dress adorned with ribbons with an ample skirt which she waves during
the dance. The couple evolves in a complex coreography of synchronized sequences as a brass band plays.
