A beauty Wolfgang! Pin sharp and great composition. Is she back in the wild?

Thanks Clifton!
Unfortunately this bird has one totally amputated wing and has to live with me until her end. She is from the wild and you can still see the shy look in her eye.
I'm not very happy with this photo, as I retouched some distracting background. My screen seems to have the wrong calibration, so I did not see the traces of the PS paintbrush in the background. But at least the bird IS a beauty, yes. ;-)
Thanks again for your nice comment!

it's nice to see Rosie looking so much better than the photos of when you first started treating her.
Can we see Lara next? #21775

Thank you so much for your comments.

Carol: She hurt herself most probably during a stoop for prey - hit a cable and destroyed her wing. She was then treated at a rehab, where they kept her in a very small place and she broke her upper mandible. There was only two thirds of it left. I took her to my place from there and together we "constructed" a new beak for her. She let it grow and I desinfected and shaped it by filing it about once every two weeks, took months to get it right. It's perfect now.
Tess: I'll shoot a portrait of Lara especially for you!
Thanks to all!
