Star Trails of the 20D

Description

Naturally I want to push this camera
to its limits. This exposure went on
till the battery died, just shy of 54 minutes. ISO 400, no noise reduction,
f.5.6 at 17mm.

Excellent presentation, ART!

This is really cool and something I have as my future project. Did you use only one battery or battery pack with two batteries?

Thanks everyone, this is a lot of fun.
Ralf, the extra battery pack for the 20D
is unavailable yet, so I was using
a single bp511.

Terrific as usual Art! Love the lavender sky, silhouetted pines and of course the circular movement of the star trails!! I think the 20D also takes the 514BP battery that might give you a few more minutes?? :0) #793706

Reminds me of those metallic pinwheels that sparkle when they turn! Beautiful shot Art! As always I love to see what you've done with the universe! Congrats! #846725

thanks my friends. I was suprised to
see anything of mine in the finals.
Not because it isn't good. My attention
was elsewhere, I'm trying to teach
photography to fourteen year olds!

If they don't find me by December,
send out search teams.

I've never used a Series 1 Canon. Therefore, I can say that the 20D is
the most satisfying camera I've ever used.
