From another page: Beautiful animal and portrait Allan!!!! Charlene Bayerle (How do they manage to that, eh…)Thank you very much everyone (Charlene, Paul Rob, Bonnie, and Joy) for the great comments and very kind words. I truly appreciate them all. I love "big" cats and to me these are the most magnificent animals in the world. We are so lucky in Toro0nto at our Zoo as we have both Sumatran and Siberian tigers to observe and appreciate. Thanx again, y'all - your good friend, Allan #786588

Wow, he's a beauty! Great job! I bet you LOVE that lens! I'd sure like to have something like that, but they just don't have anything like that for my Sony. And probably never will, sadly. #786615Claudia Kuhn September 17, 2004

Thank you very much everybody (Carolyn, Claudia, Jan, Ed, Kathryn, DIANE, and Sanjay) and to anyone else that I might inadvertantly missed, for the very appreciated comments, support and kind words. The wonderment of technology now allows the production of telephoto lenses and brings the world in closer than we might ever have imagined. I won't be able to comment any more until later today, as I'm off to the Zoo again to find some Lions and Bears. Thanx again y'all - your good friend, Allan #786767Marcie A. Fowler September 17, 2004

Murry, I have the same problems as you, but my new camera also beeps at me when its in focus, so pretty soon I'll just be able to send my camera to the zoo and wait until it comes back 4 hours later and see what it shot for me, eh… (he, he, he) Thank you all again, my very dear friends - your good friend, Allan #787859Carol Brill September 17, 2004

Beautiful shot, Allan. Don't know how I missed seeing this one. The Sumatran tiger has such an intense look to it, doesn't it? We don't have any Sumatrans near us, only Bengals and Amurs (Siberians). Great job! Have fun with your new lens. #849665Allan L. Whitehead October 17, 2004
Thank you so much, Karen, I really appreciate that. We have Amurs (Siberians - 4) and Sumatrans (5) here, and they are all very intense, and of course, magnificent. Also the new lens is phenominal and especially with VR fuction. I've had it out on the water taking sailing pictures and using it as a 'hand-held' with excellent results - Allan #850978Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
