Hi Brinn & Nadine! Thanks for stopping by and leaving such nice encouraging comments.

Nadine: My new Canon SLR @ 10.1 MP allows me to get really sharp images, something that my trusty old prosumer Fuji Finepic @ 4.3 MP just wasn't able to do.

I shot the cannon at a tight angle to the length of the barrel. I cropped tight on the right side to get the "sticking out of the picture" look, then used a Vignette FX from NIK FX pro to get a lost edges FX.

After the usual color & light editing, I dry brush filtered both images and blended using Pin Light mode to get what I wanted. After that it was a matter of tweaking the image and adding a border.
