Super l;ight and treatment you applied! #5200230

Thanks Denise and Chastity.
The main treatment here was to darken the background and get rid of distracting elements. The rest of the editing process was to dodge/burn some areas in the man's face, and desaturate the reds. #5206272

i love the treatment here, Carlos!! did you manually dodge/burn the image? any easier way to have a uniform treatment since dodge/burn is too tricky, could lose details if not applied correctly.. thanks! #5266779

Carlos Malvas December 29, 2007

Hi Nolax,
The method of dodge/burn is really tricky. So I use it in small areas and in the end of the workflow. The method I use is through a new layer filled with 50% gray and in soft light blend mode. Then you use a soft brush set at 10-12% opacity. The white brush dodges, the black burns.
I hope this can help.
