I've been to Hurricane Ridge once, and have to say it was some of the most stunning scenery I've ever seen. The deer were delightful as well. You have represented it all wonderfully in this fabulous image!

this image is more that just being at the right place at the right time. you have done such a perfect job of framing the subject with the deer being so well positioned in the bottom left of the frame and the tall tree offsetting the rainbow as a background compositional element. very well done! #797422Julia S. What an absolutely beautiful photo! Was the rainbow really there at that time, or did you add it in? How many shots did you take of that deer before getting this one?Love the way the deer is looking back, directing attention to the blurred trees and the awesome rainbow. What a marvelous shot. Dana, the rainbow was actually there. I was across the road from this female deer trying to capture her two fawns who were nibbling grass on the other side of the road. I had noticed the rainbow a few second earlier and shot just the rainbow and the mountain behind it. After getting a couple of images of the fawns, I looked across the road and saw this scene. Shot three images before the moment passed. Got two goods ones and one out of focus. Two out of three wasn't bad!
Tyler, I might think this was fake too if I hadn't been there!
Again, thanks all! #797987
